The main duty of OT Port Świnoujście is to service bulk dry cargo. An annual cargo turnover oscillates at 5-6 million tonnes, whereas handling potential equals 12 million tonnes of various cargoes (both loaded and unloaded).

Coal and coke have accounted for the main loading group for a number of years, but other goods such as iron ore, manganese ore, concentrates, aggregates and minerals, fertilizers and other also play a essential role.

The terminal offers services related to handling, storing (including a long-term storage), sorting, preparation of special compounds, crushing, screening, ready-made items, weighing, storing in the roofed venue, etc.

Storage space in open yards allows to service up to 1 million tones of various cargos at a time. Covered storage space exceeds 16 000m2 and depending on the type can take up to 100 000 tonnes of cargo.

The major advantage of the Terminal is high quality which allows to service vessels with the speed of up to 25 000 tonnes per day, simultaneous loading and unloading of wagons up to 35 000 tonnes per day, it is feasible to provide service at 4 different and independent quays and many loading points.

PHŚ has its own Railway Department which services any works on the railway siding and a set of machines and devices servicing any bulk cargo.
