Who we are?
We are part of the OT Logistics Group – the largest and most comprehensive port operator in Poland, whose parent company is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. OT Port Świnoujście S.A. is a dynamically developing universal port, located at the mouth of the Świna River into the Baltic Sea.
OT Port Świnoujście S.A. is also the largest bulk cargo handling centre on the Polish coast, guaranteeing fast and reliable services in the field of transhipment and storage of bulk goods and general cargo, both for export and import, from any means of land or water transport.
The terminal operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

In addition to the main transhipment and storage services, OT Port Świnoujście also provides the following services:
- Forming and unforming of containers,
- Rental of reloading equipment and accessories, machines and devices,
- Manoeuvring work on railway tracks with the port’s own equipment,
- Rail and barge transport services,
- Additional port services such as: confectioning, sorting, mixing, crushing of bulk cargo,
- Weighing and taring cars and wagons on truck and rail scales and on dynamic scales located in transport routes.
Our story
- In 1729, Frederick William I decided to deepen the Świna River and build a port at its mouth. The construction of breakwaters made the entrance to the port calm and safe even on stormy days. A luminous pond was placed on the eastern breakwater in 1828 to ensure safe ship traffic, and two years later a pilot observation tower was placed on the eastern coast. The lighthouse lit up for the first time in 1857.
- After World War II, Polish port regulations were introduced and the port began to be cleared of wrecks. In 1950, the Ship Bunkering Base at the Portowcy Wharf (Świnoport I) was put into operation. In the following years, the destroyed wharves were rebuilt and new transshipment bases were built: the Coal Transhipment Base at the Górników Wharf (Świnoport II), the Chemical Raw Materials Transhipment Base at the Chemików Wharf (Świnoport III), the Ore Transhipment Base at the Hutników Wharf (Świnoport IV).
- In October 1990, the organizational structure was simplified and the independence of the Transhipment and Storage Plant in Świnoujście, operating within the state-owned enterprise of the Szczecin-Świnoujście Port Authority, was increased. A year later, the Szczecin-Świnoujście Port Authority was transformed into a sole-shareholder joint-stock company of the State Treasury and a limited liability company was established under the name Port Handlowy Świnoujście.
- The years 1998-1999 saw the construction of the Deza Poland Terminal for transshipment of liquid pitch at the Chemików Wharf. Since then, there has also been a gradual expansion and retrofitting of the facilities at the Hutników Wharf, the Górników Wharf and the construction of a Container Terminal at the Hutników Wharf (VGN), as well as the Bunge Trade Polska Terminal for grain transhipment at the Portowcy Wharf.
- PTK Holding S.A. from Zabrze (later DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A.) and Odratrans S.A. from Wrocław (later OT Logistics S.A.) in 2008 purchased shares in the company Port Handlowy Świnoujście from the Management of Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports S.A. In turn, in September 2012, the controlling stake (97%) of the Świnoujście Commercial Port was taken over by OT Logistics S.A. after purchasing the shares from DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A. In April 2015, the company name was changed to OT Port Świnoujście Sp. z o.o., and two years later the company was transformed into a joint-stock company.
